What Is Onychomycosis?

This mold stimulates keratin production in the nail, which leads to the characteristic thick appearance of the nail. While it’s generally not painful (although if left untreated it can cause tenderness and inflammation), it can be unsightly and embarrassing. And, sometimes conventional treatments only work temporarily. It can often reoccur after topical or oral medication.
